The power to scream!

Okay, I wish I had the power to scream so that I could let out my frustrations without concerning my neighbors. With that aside...

It took me about a week to transfer from gay ass geocities.com to godaddy.com. Everything is finally done! I have a new guestbook so if you have time to mark your territory, that would be awesome. www.jillianspellman.net I plan on redesigning the site when I have more time. My mom has me making her graphics for her ebay store and with work etc it doesn't leave much me time.

Erika and I have been very productive lately going out and exploring Chicago and doing things almost everyday. Even getting Jamba Juice everyday with an Energy boost didn't really help and took its toll on me. I am so tired and plan on resting while she is in Florida.

While Erika is in Florida, I am weight watchering our kitchen. Erika seemed pretty excited about. I am taking a sharpie and writing numbers on everything we have in there so we know what we are eating and how much we can have and my mom is supposed to be sending me a weight watchers calculator to thank me for my web designs for her ebay store so hopefully that will come soon.

Tilly woke up and wandered around and then took a much needed cat nap. She then awoke three hours later to hang out in the window. She is now looking at me like she knows I am writing about her. Tilly has such a busy life filled with eating, sleeping and sitting in windows to check out the bird situation. Ah to switch lives.

Well I have a few hours before I have to go to bed to work the morning shift so I am going to go watch some tv and do some cleaning. Next day off... Monday.. Oh fucking joy.

Oh hell no

  • Aug. 6th, 2007 at 8:17 PM

Okay, well I have been really excited that Kathy is coming to Chicago, but not anymore. I heard Kathy recentley planted the cocaine in Lindsay Lohan's pocket. J/K The real problem is her tickets are over 60.00 and I can't afford to go. Boo you whore.

I start my new job today at (scrubyourpup.com) Scrub your pup. I am looking forward to it. It's only training so it's just two hours on Tues/Wed. I am sooo excited because Kathy Griffin D list is new tonight. Also, there is a new Chelsea Latley. WOOT! Any the ways. (that's for erika) My mom and my step dad are coming down soon and I am going to try to be drunk the entire time to deal with them. Or I may tell them I am busy working EVERYDAY and take my happy ass to Michigan Avenue everyday to wander. Let me try to describe my mom. She is like Roseanne (the tv show character) but with a felon past. lol. My step dad Randy is undescribable. I can't think of anyone like him. Hello SNL Character. He's pretty quiet but he thinks he knows everything, he is never wrong and there is no compromising with him. His way or no way. Which makes me want to smoke a pack of cigerettes in 45 minutes. I haven't had a cigerette since June 2nd or so. My parents may change that because I don't know if I can handle them without them. Plus Amy and Gilda are a bad influence on me. Sometimes I feel like Tina is on my left shoudler saying, "No don't do it" and Amy is on right saying, "No Just do it"

Well I started a new job as a copywriter for I sold it Ebay. I haven't worked since Sunday because business there has been dead. I have two jobs and no work. I still have the dog walking thing going on but I only do overnight care once in awhile. Next month I am doing it like crazy which will help out a lot. How I have survived on the little money I have had, I have no idea. I keep putting stuff on Ebay, which is one way my life hasn't completely crumbled.

My parents are coming to visit towards the end of July. My step dad is doing better and has been released from the hospital. Hopefully he will listen and take his medicine like he is supposed to this time and not try to be a super hero.

Amy Poehler's dog Suki past away in May which totally sucks. My dog Chuckie past away in Jan two days after my grandfather died. Chuckie was such an awesome dog and I really wish my apartment in Chicago allowed dogs because I really want one! I feel protected by a dog and they are great running buddies. I think some time in the future I will move to a place where I can have a dog.

Sign Suki's Guest Book

UCB Second Season will be coming out Sept 18th. I am really excited about it. Matt is coming to Chicago Aug 28th so I will be going to see him. I have a picture with him from the past that I completely HATE! So we will be retaking it and it will be bad-ass because I won't let Matt leave until it is bad-ass.

I have been having problems sleeping lately. I have been going to bed past 5am. I am going to try to stay awake for 24 hours to get my sleep back on track. It's weird not having a roommate. I am so bored. Erika has been gone for maybe a week but it feels like a month. It wouldn't be so bad if I was working more and going to school. I took a break from Second City and Improv Olympic to start working out, get in shape and start eating right. It's hard to have confidence when you aren't in shape, so this was something I had to do. I can hide in a writing room at Second City forever or I can get in shape and perform other people sketches and do improv so I need to do this. For those who are being so supportive that is so awesome. I love when I talked to Tina Fey about this she said, "Don't worry, you have time". No I don't Tina, no I don't! But thanks. I feel like days are flying by and if you want something you need to do as soon as possible. If not then you will just be that crazy person whose dreams never came true eating chicken wings and drooling and watching Oprah and never leaving the house.

I was watching UCB Season One again today and I just wanted to say that there are so many funny sketches throughout but the one that gets me into a giggle fit everytime is Matt Walsh's Albert Einstein. I think it is hysterical.

Since I haven't been at Second City I have not been writing any Sketches. I don't feel that bad because Tina Fey has said that she never really wrote sketches unless she had to. When you are in class you are forced to write sketches. So once I get back to school I will start writing again. Maybe someday I will get out of my sketch funk and do it without being required to do so. Same goes for update jokes. I really need to get on that. Basically how I write update jokes is I go and buy magazines like Star etc and I get post-its and make fun of the celebs throughout but magazines have not been on my shopping list for awhile.

Well this is the longest blog I have ever posted so good luck with reading it. Below is Matt Walsh as Albert Einstein! It's not that great quality but the only thing I could find of it on the internet.

So I am excited because Matt Besser will be coming to Chicago on Aug 28th. So that's where I will be! I am hoping to meet him for a second time and get a better picture than we did last time. I may wear heals so Matt doesn't have to duck down this time. lol

Does anyone remember this reference on SNL??

Clash of context is a technique used in humor to create an absurd situation. It involves the interaction of characters, locations, and situations that seem inappropriate. An example would be the Saturday Night Live skit about Superman's funeral. In the skit we see well-known superheroes acting as normal people would at a funeral, clashing with their normally larger-than-life personas. A similar clash of context is the entire premise behind The Venture Bros., a show spoofing Jonny Quest that features the mundane details and vulnerabilities present in everyone's life but traditionally left out of the action genre.

Job hunt!

  • Apr. 18th, 2007 at 2:17 PM

My roomate and I are off job hunt. I have an interview at starbucks tomorrow at 6pm. Cross your fingers! I am now working improv fest the entire week but for the same money (150.00) but for the experience. My boss said next year since I did this I would get a major raise... not sure what means but something to look forward to when I work it next year. Right now I am watching Full House which reminds me of the easy and breazy days that I had as a child just worrying about when my parents would be done making dinner and what I was going to wear at school. If it wasn't for Amy Poehler who always makes it known to me how poor she was and how at the end of the day it was all worth while. Amy used to work as a waitress and her only ride was a bicycle here in Chicago. She rode it everywhere. Work, free improv shows, school (improv olympic/second city) and of course she took the train sometimes. I guess me losing my car puts me more in Amy's cateogory which makes me actually appreciate things a little more. If I get the job at starbucks I am trying to figure out how to tell my boss that I need the week of improv fest off and the week for new york but then nothing for a very long time. Although I really want to see my dad at Christmas and my family in Los Angeles. I will just wait and ask them about that once I impress them with my awesome coffee making skills and have them under my trance. =) Once things get settled I am definatley going to go buy a bike. Erika got hers for 50.00 not bad Target!

Son of a bitch!

  • Apr. 17th, 2007 at 9:22 PM

Okay my day was unbelieveable. It was wicked retahded. So I am driving to Ripley and Darby's to walk them and there is no parking anywhere thanks to the cubs game. So we drive off location and I walk them. I get them home safely and as I am walking out of Ripleys to my car to walk the next dog what happens? You guessed it. My car won't start. So I am guessing its my battery so I call triple A and they come and he took an hour to get there and says its probably the starter and they will have to send out a triple A tow truck to get me. So he comes two hours later to take me to PepBoys. Pep boys says it will take an hour for them to even look at my car. They look at it and say that the motor is done for. So that means I have no car and mom and step dad are coming in June to put a new motor in and since I don't even want to deal with car problems I just told them to take it back and do whatever with it. So I am sad because that means no seth meyers or anything. So Alison my boss from Improv Fest calls me in the mist of all of this and says can you pick up the entire cast of Mad Tv and can you work on Monday? I start laughing for no reason. I tell her whats going on and she says no problem will rent you a car and you wont have to pay for anything just be here. So I am like holy shit thats awesome. So Improv Fest is still on but worse I lost my job. Without a car I cant be a dog walker so now I am out of a job. So I guess I will do what Lisa did and if anyone body wants to be awesome and send a few bucks my way for New York since I am going there for a week for "educational purposes" that would be awesome since I am out of a job. I already have my plane ticket I just need money for food/taxi and next months rent. Then when I become rich and famous you'll be like remember the 5 bucks I sent you? and then ill say yes and then you will be like "well get me backstage byotch" and then I will be oh yeah let go back stage and get drunk or something equally cool.

P.S I would like to thank Erika who was apart of my amazing journey today my life is never a dull moment.
